Illinois Libraries Receive Funding to Incorporate a Better Technological Infrastructure
The Illinois DCEO (Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity) not too long ago issued the Illinois State Library a special grant to expedite the incorporation of significantly better technology in the premises. The 'Eliminate the Digital Divide Program' is worth approximately $1 million and is being dispersed to many libraries within the state. As outlined by a JournalPilot.com report, the public library in Carthage collected approximately $24,500 to better the computer network together with install superior quality broadband services.
