If it wasn't for the flicks starring Steven Seagal, the martial art of Aikido wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is now. These motion pictures have helped to introduce Aikido to a wider audience, and nowadays lots of people are interested in learning it. Though many of the martial arts date back centuries in Asia, Aikido is in fact one of the modern ones, having been invented in Japan in the 1940s.building
